Filtered an image of the AMD Threadripper PRO 3995WX processor

A few days ago AMD launched the Ryzen 3000XT (Matisse Refresh) processors on the market. These new processors have no noticeable improvements, just slightly more frequently than their predecessors. Something like this is planning AMD for the processor market for Workstation. An image of the Threadripper PRO 3995WX has been leaked, a processor quite similar to the 3990X, but with certain improvements.

We don't know how much improvement this processor will offer, but its mission seems clear: to make things difficult for Intel. The Xeon processors have clearly outperformed the Threadripper and EPYC. Even the Ryzen 3000XT could be considered as an answer to the Intel Comet Lake-S, since the performance improvement over the Matisse is minimal.

Threadripper PRO 3995WX to put Intel on the ropes

This new Threadripper PRO 3995WX processor has 64 cores and 128 threads, just like the 3990X. We do not know the working frequency of this processor, but we do know that it is based on the Zen2 @ 7nm architecture. It should be noted that PRO processors are characterized by having additional security add-ons. Something important for systems that are in offices and spaces with shared networks.

The great improvement of this processor would be in the amount of RAM it supports and the configuration. This Threadripper PRO 3995WX processor would support Octa-Channel configurations (Quad-Channel the 3990X). This processor will support a maximum of up to 2TB DDR4, while the 3990WX supported only 256GB. This new processor would be launched on July 14, according to recent rumors.

Note that these processors are specially designed for Workstations and even small servers. They offer very good performance for multitasking, multimedia editing, and the like. Its great advantage over Intel Xeon processors, in addition to performance, are efficiency and prices.

It is evident that AMD is in the best possible moment, with the ability to tighten the nuts on Intel.
