Filtered 9-core AMD Ryzen 3800 16X based on 7nm lithography

A Russian retailer leaks the specifications of the AMD Ryzen 9 3800X based on the 7nm lithography and that could be presented at CES 2019.

Zen architecture AMD Ryzen processors are succeeding, especially now with Intel's problems. From AMD they already think about the future and possibly in a day they will present a new processor. According to recent information during the conference at CES 2019 the company could present a new top of the range. In addition, a Russian retailer has revealed data on these new processors based on Zen 2. We are talking specifically about the AMD Ryzen 9 3800X.

AMD Ryzen 9 3800X Features Revealed

It will be during CES 2019 that AMD will talk about Zen 2 based on the 7nm lithography. Also at this event it is expected to present new processors. Among these new processors would be the Ryzen 9 3800X leaked by a Russian retailer.

This new Ryzen 9 3800X would have 16 cores and 32 processing threads. This is twice as many cores and threads as the Ryzen 7 2700X, which is AMD's flagship for gaming. Something very interesting is that this processor will work at a base frequency of 3.9GHz and can reach 4.7GHz. It should be noted that the Ryzen 7 2700X in Boost mode reaches 4.3GHz. You can clearly see the increased efficiency in TSMC's new lithography.

It also stands out that this processor happens to have a TDP of 125W, which for 16 cores that can go up to 4.7GHz, is very good. We don't know yet about the performance of this processor, but it could be really good. Rumor has it that this processor could hover around $ 500, with a $ 50 range up or down. If this were the case, it would reach our stores for around € 500 more or less, a price that is truly crazy.

Perhaps the highlight of this processor is the lithography. It will be the first processor in the mainstream market to arrive in 7nm. Another outstanding aspect is that it will put Intel in a gap and not a small one, precisely.
