Leaked the name of ASUS RoG MAXIMUS motherboards with Intel Z390 chipset for Coffee Lake processors
The names of the new ASUS RoG motherboards with Intel Z390 chipset, developed for the new eight-core Coffee Lake processors, are announced.
It is well known that in a few weeks, Intel's Coffee Lake? Processors, which would have eight cores, were launched. These processors, theoretically belonging to the Coffee Lake family, will arrive around the month of September, taking advantage of the 'back to school'. Theoretically, these processors will work on Z370 motherboards and derivatives for Coffee Lake, but Intel will launch (together with its partners), new motherboards with the Z390 chipset, a chipset that is expected to provide minimal improvements and that should allow to integrate any Coffee processor Lake that is already on the market. The first leaked motherboards are those from ASUS.

Specifically, the new ASUS motherboards that have been leaked for the Z390 are from the RoG MAXIMUS and RoG GAMING families. Not much is known about these new motherboards and possibly the design of the PCB and the trims will change slightly, with some additional power phase, to support the eight cores, especially in the top-of-the-range models, designed for the overclocking.
As these new chipsets are not expected to offer an increase in PCIe lines, SATA ports or USB ports, we should not see big changes, at fundamental levels. If you want to see all the new models that will arrive with the eight-core Coffee Lake, we leave you the complete list:
