Midrange RDNA3 GPUs could be as fast as the RX 6900 XT

The new AMD Radeon RDNA 3 GPUs are expected to launch later this year. Being relatively close to its launch, there are beginning to be rumors about its efficiency and performance. Moore's Law Is Dead YouTube channel has shared a ton of details about the upcoming matrix. Navi 33 from AMD.

Moore's Law ids Dead promises to have more on the high-end deals soon. But for now, he has been able to comment in a video that mid-range AMD Radeon RDNA 3 GPUs using the Navi 33 array will offer similar rasterization performance to AMD's current flagship, the RX 6900 XT.

RDNA 3 will have a very strong mid-range

AMD's next-gen RDNA 3 cards will also reportedly come with 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM and feature memory bandwidth of around 18Gbps. Regarding the price they will have, Moore's Law is Dead speculates that the retail price of these products will range between $399 and $499.

If true, it would be positive news for those who buy mid-range cards. It means we could see AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT cards built on top of RDNA 3 that offer performance equivalent to one of the best graphics cards you can buy today.

Whether these features will be enough to compete with mid-range offerings remains to be seen. RTX 4000 from Nvidia. Moore's Law is Dead added that several AMD engineers are totally confident that RDNA 3 will decimate Nvidia in efficiency, at least in his words. Part of this advantageous position that they hope to obtain would be through high performance equivalent to current high-end cards but with lower power consumption. They are waiting for you after rumors that NVIDIA's new RTX 4000 cards could ask for a very large power supply due to their high consumption and increasingly high electricity prices.

Moore's Law is dead concluded his video by sharing Radeon product renders that «use more advanced packaging techniques", while stating that AMD is about to"do some crazy things in the next architectures«. One of the simulations was a water-cooled card, but it did not specify whether the water-cooled reference card is related to RDNA 3 or not, but this could point to Radeon RX 6800 or RX 6900 XT graphics cards with stock water cooling.
