Truly compact GEEEK A1 mini-ITX case for just $20
Introduced the GEEEK A1 chassis, a mini-ITX type box designed for users who want something very compact and who are not going to add a graphic.
Compact systems are becoming more and more popular on the market. Most motherboard manufacturers offer high-quality mini-ITX solutions, for those who want something compact and powerful. Well, for these users GEEEK has developed the most compact mini-ITX chassis on the market. We are talking about the GEEEK A1, a very minimalist and simple mini-ITX chassis with a price of 20 dollars.
This GEEEK A1 chassis has dimensions of 208x208x87mm. It only has space to support mini-ITX motherboards and supports two 2.5 ”SSDs or two 2.5” HDDs. Internally, two 50 / 40mm fans can also be installed in the upper area and two more in the lower area. Finally it integrates a PicoPSU power supply.
GEEEK A1, an extremely compact mini-ITX chassis
One of the most interesting aspects of the GEEEK A1 is that this chassis has been made entirely of aluminum with an acrylic window finished in matte black. But the chassis is truly limited and can house the minimum hardware for a system to function. No frills of any kind, even the power supply is limited in power, which has not been specified.
This GEEEK A1 chassis supports fans of a maximum of 50mm. This limits it quite a bit, since obviously it does not offer support for liquid cooling. It is also limited in terms of graphics cards, since it does not allow the installation of any. To make it work we will need an Intel processor with iGPU or a AMD Ryzen APU. Something that limits it quite a bit when it comes to playing.
As is evident, this chassis is not designed for gaming fans, it is designed more for office automation or users with little space. We could even say that it is practically a portable chassis, for entertainment and multimedia. Of course, the chassis has support for Thunderbolt 3, so we can install an external graphics.
