GFXBench leaks a benchmark of the AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT
Twitter user Komachi, who specializes in finding accidental leaks, discovered a benchmark for the AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT in the GFXBench online results database. Thanks to this, Tom's Hardware found a comparison pitting the Radeon RX 6750 XT against the RX 6700 XT.
They mention that GFXBench is generally not very useful as a tool for testing desktop graphics hardware. It's a mobile GPU benchmark that isn't well-suited to high-end PC graphics cards . To make matters worse, only the Aztec Ruins High Tier test was performed, which is likely an early beta version using potentially outdated hardware and drivers.
The AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT is seen for the first time
Despite the "buts" that this benchmark entails, this is the first recorded test of the AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT. This may indicate that the GPU will probably be shown soon given that, if there are already benchmarks, there are already sample units.
According to the Aztec Ruins High offscreen benchmark of the AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT, it 's barely 1% faster than its predecessor . Its only rumored change is the transition from 12GB of GDDR6 memory at 16Gbps to faster 18Gbps memory. Although it performed worse than the 6700 XT in the onscreen test, this is believed to be because it uses the Windows desktop resolution, which can be 4K on the system with the RX 6750 XT and only 1080p in the test with the RX 6700 XT.
The point of GFXBench’s “off-screen” test is to assess the GPU’s rendering power without worrying about the screen resolution, which would be the fairest comparison. In this case, the RX 6700 XT hits 23.286 frames at 362.2 fps, and the RX 6750 XT hits 23.565 frames at 366.5 fps. A clear improvement, but hardly noticeable.
The revamped AMD RDNA 2 lineup of graphics cards has yet to be officially released. The last thing we've heard from them is a list for sale to the public at high prices. A French retailer has listed prices for the Sapphire Radeon RX 6950 XT, Radeon RX 6750 XT, and Radeon RX 6650 XT custom models. A few days before we knew that PowerColor was preparing a Red Devil Radeon RX 6750 XT.
