Gigabyte: BIOS update for X299 motherboards to support newer Intel Core X
Available from Gigabyte a new BIOS for its X299 motherboards that offers full support for Intel Core X processors.
The arrival of AMD's Ryzen, Threadripper, and EPYC processors has posed a major problem for Intel. The company's problem lies with the 14nm process, as they haven't been able to make the leap to 10nm lithography. It seems Intel's only solution is to release 14nm processors, without much additional value. Meanwhile, Gigabyte has announced a new BIOS to support the new Intel Core X processors.
For Gigabyte customers with the X299 motherboard, the company makes available a new BIOS that supports the new Intel. This lets us see that the 10th Generation Intel Core X will be compatible with the current chipset. Despite the support, it is possible that some of the new features were implemented.
Gigabyte updates the BIOS of X299 motherboards
A new BIOS has been developed by Gigabyte for its X299 motherboards with the intention of offering the maximum performance of the next Intel Core X. So anyone with a company X299 motherboard, will be able to update the processor without the need for change the plate.
Specifically, Gigabyte has announced support for the new motherboards:

The company emphasizes that the X299 AORUS GAMING motherboard does not receive the compatibility due to its hardware limitations for CPUs with only 16 lanes. The rest will have full support for the new processors. This is certainly great news, as users will be able to upgrade their Intel processors without having to buy an expensive motherboard.
