GIGABYTE Introduces New UD Series of Power Supplies

The manufacturer GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY Co. Ltd has announced the new UD series of power supplies which is made up of the UD1000GM, UD850GM and UD750GM models. This series inherits the spirit of GIGABYTE Ultra Durable product design, introducing a variety of high-quality materials and designs.

The ultra-durable design combines high-quality Japanese main capacitors, an improved thermal solution, a 120mm Hydraulic Bearing (HYB) smart fan, and six circuit protection designs. This provides the user with a stable, high-quality power supply that can be used for a long time. They are 80 PLUS Gold certified and a fully modular and compact + 12V monorail design making them an ideal choice for high-level gamers and overclockers.

GIGABYTE Launches Ultra Durable Power Supplies

The main features of the three UD series power supplies are the high-quality Japanese main capacitors, their improved thermal solution, the 120mm hydraulic bearing (HYB) intelligent fan, and the six circuit protection designs. The main capacitors are made in Japan and their durability is more than four times that of conventional capacitors. The improved thermal solution provides a heat sink that is at least 200% larger than the standard solution, optimizing airflow. The heat dissipation performance has been increased by more than 10%, thus extending the life of the power supply components. The fan with 12 cm hydraulic bearing is 1,4 times higher than that of the standard sleeve bearing.

The fan will stop spinning in standby mode or when power consumption is less than 20% of capacity, prolonging life by moving only when needed. They feature OVP / OPP / SCP / UVP / OCP / OTP circuit protection designs, so the user can use it with peace of mind for a long time knowing that it will work properly.

All three Gigabyte UD Series power supplies have passed 80 PLUS Gold certification, giving them more than 90% energy efficiency. This represents a considerable saving in electricity consumption while having a stable power supply. Its + 12V monorail design allows it to be used without having to plan the power distribution, and with its modular design Only essential cables are used to avoid excess cables. Several 6 + 2-pin PCIe connectors are offered to be compatible with high-power graphics cards, and two 4 + 4-pin CPU connectors are offered to be fully compatible with mid-range and high-end motherboards. The old circuit design has been improved and high-quality materials have been adopted so that the power supply with a length of 16cm or even 18cm can be greatly reduced to 14cm more easily.
