The NVIDIA GTX 1630 is just waiting to be officially announced. There have even been listings of its specifications and potential price for a graphics card designed for the very low-end market. This means pre-built or custom-built PCs with tight budgets that want to play a minimum number of games without relying on the CPU's integrated graphics.
The latest rumors pointed to a June 15th launch date for the GTX 1630 GPU . But that announcement didn't materialize, suggesting a last-minute change of plans. This seems to be indicated by Gigabyte's recent listing, which indicates they are waiting for NVIDIA's approval to announce and release their custom GTX 1630 models.
The GTX 1630 will not be limited and there will be custom models
As usual, AIB partners must register their products with the Eurasian Economic Commission before they are released in certain regions. At least four of Gigabyte's GTX 1630 cards have been registered. These are the GV-N1630OC-4GD, the GV-N1630OC-4GL, the GV-N1630D6-4GD, and the GV-N1630D6-4GL.
Although the specifications of each card are unknown, their model names suggest that at least two of them will come factory overclocked . Furthermore, the naming convention also confirms that each card will have 4GB of GDDR6 memory. As for the rest of the specifications, rumors suggest that the card will feature a TU117-150 GPU with 512 CUDA cores at 1.800 MHz. The GDDR6 memory should run at 12 Gbps and have a 64-bit memory bus.
According to the latest rumors from VideoCardz, the graphics card's manufacturing partners have already received the Go-To-Market kit . This means they are undergoing validation, indicating that the launch is just around the corner. NVIDIA is most likely waiting to see what moves AMD and Intel make to gauge the pricing and market reaction to these very low-end graphics cards, so they can then price them according to demand. It also appears that the GTX 1630 is finished and ready to ship to stores, so it wouldn't be surprising to see some benchmarks before its release in a few weeks.
