Last February we learned information about a possible NVIDIA GTX 1650 with GDDR6 memories. The most basic model based on the Turing architecture implements GDDR5 memories. Implementing GDDR6 memory will bring a little extra performance and possibly come at the same price. Now a German retailer has listed several Gigabyte GTX 1650 @ GDDR6 graphics for less than € 200.
Interestingly, NVIDIA has not made any other changes to GTX 1650 graphics cards with GDDR6 memory. This graph will keep current silicon and current frequencies, just changing memories. A really strange gamble that may be looking to give way to the simplest silicon that the company currently makes.

It seems that the German retailer has been the first to list, specifically, versions of this Gigabyte graphic. What's more, the only difference between the 'old' and the 'new' GTX 1650 is in the description on the box. It will just go from being labeled GDDR5 to being labeled GDDR6.
The GTX 1650 has 896 CUDA Cores and in this case it would go from working at 1665MHz in Boost mode to 1590MHz in Boost mode for this new version. It now has 4GB GDDR6 @ 12GHz of 128bits and a bandwidth of 192GB / s. A setting that seems to be aimed at avoiding stepping on the GTX 1650 Super.
There is another interesting fact. Although these graphics are still labeled GTX 1650 commercially, Gigabyte labels them N1656. This internal Gigabyte designation is intended to distinguish it from the GDDR5 model.
Additionally, the Gigabyte WindForce model will arrive with modification in the video outputs. The GDDR5 version has three HDMIs and a DisplayPort, while the GDDR6 will have an HDMI, a DisplayPort and a DVI. All quite curious.
