All GIGABYTE AOI liquid coolers will be compatible with AM5

GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY Co. Ltd. announced today that its entire line of AIO liquid coolers and multi-platform tower fans will now come with AM5 socket support. This will allow you to reuse your existing GIGABYTE liquid cooler if you upgrade your CPU to a Ryzen 7000 series processor that requires a new motherboard with an AM5 socket.

While this was expected given AMD's emphasis on ensuring that the vast majority of AM4-compatible coolers and heatsinks will work on AM5, it's still good to have the manufacturer confirm it, just in case. This compatibility will provide users with optimal CPU heat dissipation and allow for system upgrades without having to change their coolers.

Yes, your GIGABYTE cooler will still work on AM5

Since it is a huge inconvenience to purchase new CPU fans when changing platforms, GIGABYTE has taken platform variation into account at the early stage of tower fan and cooling design. After confirming the continuation of AM4 brackets on the AM5 platform, GIGABTYE has proven that the entire line of AIO liquid coolers and tower fans can provide optimal thermal performance to the new platform through rigorous testing.

For users who have purchased GIGABYTE coolers or tower fans designed for multiple platforms, no changes or adjustments will be necessary to adapt to the new platform if they want a Ryzen 7000 series processor. In other words, they will be compatible with AM5 as is. There's no need to contact the manufacturer, provide a copy of the purchase receipt, and wait for an adapter kit for the new platform, as was the case with Intel Alder Lake and its LGA 1700 platform.
