G.SKILL Trident Z5 breaks world record DDR5-8704 with ASUS ROG Z690 APEX board

With the recent arrival of DDR5, z60 motherboards, and Intel Alder Lake CPUs, much progress is being made in the maximum speeds that memory and processors can reach through extreme overclocking. In today's case are G.SKILL Trident Z5 memories, which have broken the world record DDR5-8704 with the help of ASUS ROG Z690 APEX motherboard and some extreme overclocking techniques.

High-performance memory maker G.SKILL International Enterprise Co., Ltd., claims another world record, in close association with the ASUS ROG motherboard team. The record is for the fastest memory frequency of a DDR5-8704 memory kit.

Another world frequency record of the DDR5 format

This feat was accomplished with the G.SKILL Trident Z5 DDR5 memory on the latest Intel® Core ™ i7-12700KF processor and the ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 APEX motherboard. The overclocking process to claim this world record can be seen in the following video:

Claiming the world record for the fastest memory frequency with the latest DDR5 memory, G.SKILL and ASUS worked closely together to achieve an incredible DDR5-8704. They have used liquid nitrogen to cool the system to subzero temperatures to combat the temperature rise of the memory. Solidifying DDR5 memory as the new standard for extreme performance, this world memory frequency record was achieved with the new Trident Z5 RGB memory on the ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 APEX motherboard.
