Intel ARC Battlemage could arrive in mid-2023
Intel's path to enter the world of graphics cards follows a path thought to be at least five generations old. It is known that the first Intel Arc Alchemists are focused on being mostly entry-level, while according to recent rumors, the Battlemages that would arrive in mid-2023 and will be more focused on the enthusiast market.
Intel is following in AMD's footsteps with its line of ARC GPUs such that Alchemist would be the equivalent of RDNA 1, while Battlemage would be RDNA 2, thus targeting the GPU space for enthusiast end games. The Intel ARC Battlemage range of GPUs for amateur gaming will arrive in mid-2023 and will face the high-end graphics cards NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 'Ada Lovelace' and the AMD Radeon RX 7000 'RDNA 3
Intel would enter gaming graphics in 2023
In the latest video posted by Moore's Law is Dead, he has given possible preview information on what Intel's DG3 or Battlemage series of GPUs will look like, codenamed 'Elasti'. There is a quote from MLID sources saying that DG3 ARC Battlemage GPUs are going to target the high-end segment.
Intel is currently a few months away from launching its DG2 ARC Alchemist GPUs that will stand up to the mainstream and high-end graphics cards of AMD Radeon RX 6000 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30. The ARC Alchemist A series is said to *** It will offer performance on par or slightly better than the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti and the AMD Radeon RX 6800/6700 XT.
It would not be a performance designed to attract enthusiasts, because for now Intel wants to gain market share and for this it is more useful to remove GPUs in the mid-range and entry-level range. Therefore, whoever is looking for an Intel GPU designed to play video games with the maximum graphic options, will have to spend at least a year and a half more.
