Intel's problems with the supply of processors is a problem, if nothing else, very important. Currently they have more demand than production capacity, complaining all their customers. Dell has recently had to adjust its revenue downward due to a shortage of processors. Well, the company has just launched the Core i5-9500T processors, a new more 'efficient' processor.
We already know that Intel offers different types of processors depending on the final quality of the silicon. We have the 'K' processors with overclocking capabilities and the 'non-K' processors, which lack overclocking capabilities. The difference is that the former support higher frequencies due to their superior silicon. We also have the 'T' processors, which are made with lower-quality silicon and don't support very high frequencies. We'll disregard the 'KF' processors, as these have a faulty integrated graphics processor (iGPU).

This new Core i5-9500T is a more 'efficient' version of the Core i5-9500 processor. We say that it is more efficient because it has lower frequencies and as we already know, lower frequency means lower consumption. Obviously the performance is also quite inferior. A processor designed for office automation and embedded systems, nothing more.
Regarding its specifications, this Intel processor has 6 cores and 6 processing threads. It works at a base frequency of 2.2GHz and reaches 3.7GHz in Boost mode. It has 9MB of Intel Smart Cache and a TDP of 35W. The Core i5-9500 works at 3.0GHz and arrives in Boost mode at 4.4GHz with a TDP of 65W.
This new 9500T processor has an Intel HD 630 that works at 350MHz and comes in Boost mode at 1.1GHz. Come on, the iGPU is to take video, but as you put the minesweeper, the PC will still restart.
It can be installed on motherboards with Intel Z370, H370 and B360 chipsets through a BIOS update. The box comes with the simple Intel heatsink that for this processor is superfluous. The worst thing about this processor is that it is priced at € 239, being more expensive than the 'normal' processor without the 'T'
