Intel Core i9-9920X outperforms AMD Ryzen 1024X in wPrime 3900 again
Yesterday we reported that the world record for wPrime 1024M had been broken with the AMD Ryzen 3900X processor . The previous record was held by the Intel Core i9-7920X processor, and the AMD processor had improved the times with a lower frequency. The American overclocker 'Splave' has broken the record again, this time with the Intel Core i9-9920X processor. It was logical to think that once the record was announced there would be those who would try to beat it again. To achieve this he has needed much more frequency than jordan.hyde99, who yesterday won the throne with the AMD processor.
Intel reigns supreme in the wPrime 1024M
The competition in this case is only in 12-core processors, so there are not many more processors competing. This benchmark is based on mathematical calculations, in this case, on all cores. Splave has brought the processor to 6.105MHz, while the AMD processor worked at 5.625MHz.
Splave has set a mark of 35 seconds and 95ms, some 400ms better than the one set by the Australian. And it's jordan.hyde99 had achieved a mark of 35 seconds and 517ms. In both cases, extreme overclocking using liquid nitrogen has been required, a practice only suitable for specialized users.
