Intel denies that they are going to abandon the Intel Arc so soon

Although at the end of last week Intel was on a promotional tour on various YouTube channels to show the power of desktop Intel Arc Designed for gamers, this Sunday the Moore's Law is Dead channel stated that they were going to abandon consumer Arcs to focus entirely on professional ones in the future. Faced with such a big statement and shortly after a promotional campaign for consumer Arcs, they have had to deny everything.

In the presentation of the Intel Arc years ago, they already commented that they planned to be in the graphics market until they reached the Druid generation, which would be the fourth. They were even already thinking of names for their fifth generation.

Intel is not going to abandon the Intel Arc so soon

WCCFTech's Usman Pirzada recently put out an article after speaking with numerous sources of his within Intel. all of them affirm that the project has not been canceled or reduced, despite the apparent problems that they would be having to have an impactful launch.

Some of their sources claim that as long as there is a market for desktop graphics cards, Intel will continue to sell desktop graphics cards. How do you think currently there is too much graphics, Intel will reassess the supply volumes of the Alchemist series and battlemage for the remaining year and also into 2023. This is mainly due to the collapse in demand for cryptocurrency GPUs as the market is being flooded with used GPUs which will drive down retail prices significantly in the coming months. NVIDIA and AMD are expected to follow suit and reevaluate the volume of new cards coming to market.

Intel will decide internally whether or not an Alchemist update is appropriate for 2023. That would be before the Battlemage series is introduced. This decision has not yet been made. Usman Pirzada's contacts at Intel state that no decision has yet been made about the future of Arc desktop consumer graphics, and that remain committed to the roadmap until at least 2024. Intel remains committed to moving the Battlemage series of graphics forward, barring any unexpected events. It should appear in a discreet tabletop format in late 2023 or early 2024, depending on how fast R&D progresses. They warn that Battlemage does not physically fit on any mobile platform of reasonable size, so it will very likely end up being a series of graphics exclusively for desktop computers.
