The days of NVIDIA's supremacy are numbered as Intel reaffirms that its gaming graphics will arrive by 2020 (and who knows if the end of AMD)
The failure of Vega is a problem for AMD that is seeing how NVIDIA eats the toast in all graphics segments. If the new NVIDIA Turing are half as good as expected, we could see the marginality of AMD's Radeon products. Betting all or nothing on Ryzen has been supposed to sacrifice its Radeon brand and leave it in little more of the shadow than it once was with ATI. The placidity in the graphics market has its days numbered because Intel is working on its own graphics cards that will arrive in 2020.
Intel is confirmed that it will launch dedicated graphics cards in 2020.
It is not the first time that Intel's dedicated graphics cards have been talked about and this began the same day that Raja Koduri (who left AMD tired of being ignored) announced that he was going to the blue team. Now the company has made it clearer during SIGGRAPH 2018 where they have made it clear in 2020 they will arrive to be protagonists, not to be a comparsa.
During the Canadian event, the two top managers of Intel's graphics division, Raja Koduri and Chris Hood (until a few months ago members of AMD Radeon Group) have published a teaser of their next graphics that will arrive in 2020 on Twitter. The video does not give doubt of the year of release of these graphics.

The video bears a strong resemblance to the ones Hook developed when he was at AMD. The introduction is a history lesson where the steps taken by the company in the graphics section are praised (rather few) and ends by saying that Intel's discrete graphics 'will be released' in 2020 'and that is only the beginning'
Hook has highlighted in a comment to this video: 'It will take time and effort to be the first successful participant in the dGPU segment in 25 years, but we have incredible talent at Intel and above all, a passion for discrete graphics'
Although the term 'discrete' is used, it is a euphemism to refer to gaming graphics or simpler gaming graphics solutions than solutions intended for professional segments. Not to be confused with the entry-level GPU for gaming, as they are very different things.
