Intel GPU 26.20.100.6861 with optimization for new games and bug fixes

New Intel GPU drivers released 26.20.100.6861, which fix a lot of bugs and add support for new games.

The integrated graphics in Intel processors are not a good solution, not even close. They are developed as an integrated solution for those who want to wait a bit to acquire a dedicated graphics or for office automation. Intel would have managed to fix up to 8 major problems, improve performance, and also offer support for three new games. Other improvements for developers have been integrated, something also important.

Intel updates the drivers for its iGPUs

These new Intel GPU drivers 26.20.100.6861 natively support the games 'A Plague Tale: Innocence', 'Total War: Three Kingdoms' and 'Conan Unconquered'. That they are supported does not mean that we will be able to play them at 1080p, perhaps hopefully at 720p in low quality for 30FPS.

For developers these new drivers offer us:

  • OpenGL 4.6 API support
  • Various additions to D3D12 MetaCommand support in DirectML
  • Intel Graphics Control Panel SDK now allows control of Local Adaptive Contrast Enhancement (LACE) sensitivity to low, medium, or high, always on platforms where available
  • New extensions for Vulkan: VK_EXT_host_query_reset, VK_EXT_depth_clip_enable, VK_EXT_scalar_block_layout and VK_KHR_shader_float16_int8

Additionally, these drivers have:

  • Intel Graphics Driver
  • Intel Audio Driver 10.26.0.7 (6th Gen Pentium Silver and Celeron)
  • Intel Audio Driver 10.27.0.3 (7th, 8th, 9th Gen)
  • Intel Media SDK Runtime
  • Intel OpenCL Driver
  • Intel Graphics Command Center
  • Vulcan Runtime Installer (1.1.101.0)

These drivers have been developed for:

  • Microsoft Windows 10-64 - Fall Creators Update (1709)
  • Windows 10-64 - April 2018 Update (1803)
  • Microsoft Windows 10-64 - October 2018 Update (1809)
  • Microsoft Windows 10-64 - May 2019 Update (1903)

Performance optimization

  • Improved image quality and performance are achieved when Conservative Morphological Anti-Aliasing (CMAA) is enabled in DX12 games and 3D applications.
  • Shader compilation time in OpenCL is reduced
  • Added gameplay improvements in 'Tota War: Three Kingdoms', 'Totally Accurate Battle Simulator' and 'Risk of Rain 2'

Fixed issues in these drivers

  • Crashes or crashes are fixed in World Wars Z (Vulkan), Rocket Arena, World of Warships and Maxon Cinema 4D
  • Fixed minor graphic anomalies in Apex Legends, Generation Zero, Imperator Rome, Devotion, Maxon Cinema 4D and Zero View when hovering the mouse
  • Content Protection will not be disabled when a display is connected to the DisplayPort if done in standby mode with the monitors off
  • DisplayPort Type-C hub hot detection
  • Video output is updated when the input range from 'full' to 'limited' is corrected in the Graphic Command Center
  • Fixed black screens on Miracast when connecting to HDCP 2.3 dongle
  • Fixed Media SDK intermittent blocks for MPEG2 mod on XNUMXth gen processors and later
  • Anisotropic filter and CMAA smoothing settings will now be applied correctly in games and 3D applications within the Intel Graphics Command Center (IGCC)

Known issues (and not resolves)

  • Minor anomalies detected in 'Devil May Cry 5' and 'The Division 2' graphics under DirectX 12
  • Intermittent crashes or crashes in 'Sniper Elite V2 Remsaterd', 'Rage 2 (Vulkan)' and 'Tom Clancy's The Division 2'
