Intel to release a new patch for Zombiload soon

In 2019, even though Intel had record revenue, they had quite a few processor stock problems and vulnerabilities. One of the vulnerabilities that occurred last year was Zobieload, which affects processors after 2011. This vulnerability affects speculative execution on their processors. Now the company has announced that it will soon release a new update of security for your CPUs.

As reported by the company, they will launch a software update in the coming weeks that will correct some bugs. The patch will focus on the Microprocessor and Zombieload Weakness Set. It should be noted that in May 2019 the first patch was already released and in November of last year the second patch.

Intel releases a new patch for Zombieload

Researchers have highlighted that Intel has taken a piecemeal approach and this could be a major problem. In addition, researchers have highlighted that Intel has taken months to work on these important vulnerabilities. Researchers have said: "We question the effectiveness of the year-long outreach processes and also raise concerns about their disruptive impact on the academic process."

As is logical, Intel has removed the iron from the criticisms made for incorrectly addressing these vulnerabilities. They wanted to make it clear that they have taken important measures in order to reduce the risk of vulnerabilities in their processors.

Since May 2019, beginning with Microarchitectural Data Sampling (MDS), and then in November with TAA, we and our systems software partners have released mitigations that have cumulatively and substantially reduced the total attack surface for this kind of problems

We continue to conduct research in this area internally, and in conjunction with the external research community

It becomes clear that the company needs to correct the way they work. Security fixes are not addressed correctly and are only addressed after jumping to the general public. In addition, the secrecy of the company in everything that has to do with the company is brutal.
