New information suggests that the Intel Core 9000 Series will hit the market on August 1 along with the new motherboards.
We have been thinking about the new Intel Core processors for weeks that will bring with them the company's first processor for the gaming market. Initially it was expected that these processors will arrive within the current family of processors, but in the end it seems that they will not belong to the Core 8000 Series family and will be from the Core 9000 Series family. Some are expected to be processors similar to the current Coffee Lake more frequently and the eight-core Core i9 will appear.
Finally Intel will launch the Core 9000 Series for the eight-core processor.
Everything points to the Core 9000 Series being based on the Coffee Lake architecture and the already very mature 14nm Tri-Gate process, allowing higher frequencies to be achieved without affecting consumption. These processors will hit the market August 1 along with the new Z390 chipset, which will initially replace the Z370 chipset.
It seems that Intel will launch two Core i9 processors, specifically the Core i9 9900K and the Core i9 9900, which will have eight cores and will be the first processors for the mainstream market.
Information indicates that the Intel Core i9 9900K and Core i9 9900 will have the IHS welded to the DIE itself, to offer a much more efficient thermal transfer of heat and thus avoid the thermal problems that usually occur in mainstream processors with dubious quality thermal paste .
Some improvements would have been implemented to mitigate Specter and Meltdown, but these vulnerabilities do not affect the average user excessively, since they mainly affect systems with virtual machines or, physical access to the system will be required.
There is no record of prices, but considering the precedents, we expect that these new eight-core processors will be priced quite high that favors AMD, although the performance could be lower.
