The last few years for Intel have not exactly been a stroll down a straight and smooth road. We have seen how Intel has had stock problems, problems to leave 14nm behind, signings, layoffs and even change of CEO. Some quite hard years that would be beginning to be left behind little by little. It now appears that Intel is confirmed in 2022 to release Meteor Lake @ 7nm processors.
The company is scheduled to launch its first 2021nm lithography-based desktop processors in 10. The Alder Lake-S @ 10nm processors will be replaced in 2022 by the Meteor Lake-S @ 7nm processors. So 10nm litho, on desktop processors, will only be on the market for a year.

Within a job offer Intel has added a reference to Meteor Lake-S processors. The company is seeking software development engineers for its own product families. It is possible that this offer has a lot to do with drivers or perhaps tools that we know nothing about. But that Meteor Lake-S appears is quite interesting data.
In addition, this offer also mentions Granite Rapids, architecture that will replace the Sapphire Rapids. Sapphire Rapids solutions will be destined for servers and workstations and will arrive in 2021. Granite Rapids, on the other hand, will arrive in 2022, will be based on Golden Cove cores and will be manufactured under the 7nm process.
Meteor Lake-S will theoretically arrive under the 7nm + litho, at the very least. These new Intel processors will arrive with a new socket, possibly with the LGA1700 socket. We must remember that the LGA1200 socket will only be used in Comet Lake-S and Rocket Lake-S processors.
If we look at the previous data, Meteor Lake-S would be the first to support DDR5 and PCIe 5.0. We know little else about these processors, which will still take a long time to reach the market.
