Intel strongly denies that they are leaving out the 10nm lithography

Strong and clear negative on the part of Intel before the rumor that they would be thinking of leaving aside the 10nm lithography.

Intel's 10nm is the fruit of many dimes and diretes and in the last hours a rather absurd rumor has been generated about whether the company had discarded this lithograph. The founder of SemiAccurate, Charlie Demerjian has published an entry on his portal where he states that Intel has put aside the 10nm process. This information appears after the company has delayed the 10nm process several times.

Rumor claims Intel has dropped 10nm lithography

These delays have apparently caused Intel to relax the 10nm lithography design process, making it slightly similar to TSMC's 12nm node, something that would solve the problem they are having in terms of manufacturing volume.

Demerjian says that Intel has shelved the 10nm process, something that has been categorically denied by Intel on his Twitter account: “Media reports published today that Intel is finishing work on the 10nm process do not are true. We are making good progress at 10nm. Returns are improving according to the schedule we shared during our last earnings report. "

Very fast response from the company and very resounding. The company is not usually so clear and direct, but in this case it is because they are having a good roll in the stock market and they have wanted to stop the blow as soon as possible to avoid losing more value and that the company does not suffer.

What the company intends with the tweet is to end the rumor and thus solve the problem generated by this rumor. 10nm processors should hit the market in the second half of 2019. Some have speculated that they could jump from 10nm to 7nm outright, but there is no data on these rumors. In the end all these are rumors, without more.
