Intel launches a NUC with the Core i3 8121U based on 10nm lithography

Intel NUC Crimson Canyon announced with Core i3 8121U processor which is based on the company's own 10nm lithography.

A few months ago, Intel launched an Intel Cannon Lake processor based on its 10nm lithography that was exclusive for Lenovo laptops in China. The company seems to have increased the production of these Intel Core i3 8121U processors and has implemented these processors in the Intel Crimson Canyon NUCs, the company's mini-PCs that offer such good performance.

The Core i3 8121U processor as we have highlighted is a Cannon Lake based on the company's proprietary 10nm lithography. This processor has two cores and four processing threads that works at a base frequency of 2.2GHz and can reach 3.2GHz and has 4MB of SmartCache memory and has a total TDP of 15W. It has support for a maximum of 32GB of DDR4 / LPDDR4 RAM @ 2400MHz in Dual Channel configuration and we do not know if it has integrated graphics.

This processor arrives in the Intel NUC 8 (OXNUC8i3CYSM1) that has a total of 8GB LPDDR4, a 1TB capacity solid state hard disk drive, a free M.2 slot and dedicated AMD Radeon 540 graphics have been integrated which They have 2GB GDDR5 dedicated.

Regarding connectivity, this equipment has a Gigabit Ethernet port, WiFi 802.11ac + Bluetooth 5.0, it has two HDMI 2.0 video outputs, four USB 3.1 ports of which one is fast charging, it has a card reader on the side and a single jack connector that functions as audio input and output.

No date of arrival on the market has been given, but the first one will be released in the United States for $ 540 and then it will arrive in Europe for a price that should be around € 500.
