Fake Intel processors are back, and the company asks that they only be bought in official stores

The hardware is always better to buy it in duly accredited stores, especially to avoid getting scared. Months ago there were several scandals of processors bought on Chinese Intel and AMD websites that were false. Now there are new cases of Intel processors fake purchased on Chinese websites. Initially the processors seem to be original, but the reality is quite different.

The difference this time is that Intel has been aware of the scam and has asked users to buy from trusted stores. When we buy on pages like Aliexpress, we always run the risk of 'eating' a toad. Especially in these times, where low-priced 'old' Chinese motherboards and Xeon processors are so fashionable.

Counterfeit Intel processors are back

It has been the Intel Engineer, Wei Wei, who has publicly indicated that many complaints are being received. Apparently companies and individuals are coming to the Intel customer service reporting these fake processors. Such customers claim the warranty, product replacement, or fake processor refund.

Apparently the processor, externally, is the same as the original model. The difference is hidden in the frequencies, the identified and the rest of the specifications of the fake chip.

Intel, of course, does not take care of these fake processors because they do not comply with Intel's warranty terms and policies. So users must complain to the seller or get annoyed for having bite.

Looking at the image, we can see the core of the DIE is gone. The average user does not delude a processor, so it is impossible for these users to detect. But when we analyze frequencies and other characteristics, we discover reality.

From Intel they insist that they cannot do anything with regard to after-sales service. The company stresses that they cannot repair the product because it has been tampered with.
