Intel Introduces Rocket Lake-S, Core vPRO, Xeon Scalable Processors, and More

It seems that this year Intel is in a hurry and they have shown all the artillery for this same year. The company has shown all of its products in a digital version of CES. Not only have they announced the Intel Tiger Lake H35 processors, which we have talked about, but also the Rocket Lake-S, the new Pentium and Celeron, the Core vPRO processors for laptops, the new Ice Lake Xeon Scalable and the new logo of the brand .

Rocket Lake-S

Perhaps the most interesting are the Intel Rocket Lake-S processors. These processors will be the last of the company to be based on the 14nm node. They will arrive with a maximum of 8 cores and 16 processing threads. They are accompanied by 20 PCIe 4.0 lanes and integrate the Iris Xe iGPUs.

These Intel Rocket Lake-S processors would arrive for the second quarter.

Pentium and Celeron

Intel now seems to consider the Pentium and Celeron a range of independent processors no longer attached to the Core-S. The company shows us the Pentium Silver, which has been compared to the MediaTek processors for Chromebook. These processors would be up to 48% more powerful in the TinkerCard benchmark than MediaTek's.

The Pentium Silver and Celeron are based on the high-efficiency Jasper Lake cores. These processors are based on the 10nm SuperFIN node and will feature WiFi 6 support.

Tiger Lake H35

We have already talked about these processors, but let's do a quick review. The Intel Tiger Lake H35 are based on Willo Cove @ 10nm cores SuperFIN. There are three 4-core, 8-thread models that can reach up to 5.0Hz on one core (Core i7-11375H “Special Edition”). It features 4 PCIe 4.0 and Thunderbolt 4 lanes, as well as supporting WiFi 6 and Resizable BAR.

CorevPRO

Intel EVO certification reaches the professional segment with the 11th Generation Core vPRO. They promise to offer up to 80% more performance in video editing tasks and up to 50% in video conferencing, compared to the Ryzen 7 Pro 4750G.

Only two processors will be released, a Core i5 and a Core i7, based on the Tiger Lake architecture. Up to 9 hours of autonomy, WiFi 6 and support for Thunderbol 4 are promised.

Xeon Scalable

During the first quarter of 2021 the new Xeon Scalable Ice Lake processors will arrive. These are then divided into the Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum ranges. Very few details have been given, although it is noted that they have been developed to support 5G, Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, etc.
