Intel releases an Optane SSD that needs a heatsink which is not sold

Intel launches an Optane SSD in M.2 format for sale in the United States, which is called the 905P. The problem with this Optane is that for its operation it needs a dissipation that is not for sale.

As I said before, Intel launched (only in the US market) some memories already known as Intel Optane, which we will not be able to use if we do not have their heatsinks, which must have the 22110 standard and also need motherboards that have this connector, since it is not the same as that of the M.2 that we all know.

The Intel Optane SSD has gone on sale on Newegg and when you buy the memory it tells you that it will require an additional thermal cooling solution, that means that it will need cooling, which is not included and that we will have to buy separately, so far so good, but the bad thing comes when you realize that when looking for the special "Thermal cooling solution" for this memory, you see that it does not exist and that you will not be able to use it. Intel only says that it is working with the EK company, which means that they will surely put the heatsink on sale (as it seems in the long term) and each user who has bought the Optane will have to pay an extra for that heatsink. Until then, the customer will have to find a way to dissipate the heat that it has to give off and not have it spoil in the long term, which nobody wants.

For now on the Newegg page you can only find the 380GB Optane and we don't know if there will be any more for sale soon. The price of the memory is $ 499,99 and with a gift of a heatsink (which will not do us any good, since it is larger) from the EK brand and is valued at $ 100.
