Now the company has presented the Quartz Canyon, a version of the NUC designed for the Workstation. This system of course is based on Intel processors of different ranges´.
This NUC Quartz Canyon system has as its simplest version a 7th Generation Core i9 up to a Xeon E with 8 cores and 16 threads. This system integrates a high performance graphics and everything in a mini-ITX format. You can choose an NVIDIA Quadro or an NVIDIA RTX 2070, depending on your needs.
Intel reveals NUC for Workstation, Quartz Canyon
We are talking about a mini-ITX system which has a 500W power supply to power the system. Regarding connectivity, it offers us two Thunderbolt 3, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, WiFi 6, four USB 3.1, two USB 3.0, card reader and HDMI output integrated into the motherboard itself.
Not surprisingly, this drive offers support for M.2 NVMe SSD drives or an Intel Optane drive. This unit also offers us support for DDR4 ECC RAM. Perhaps the most interesting thing is that the motherboard has been designed as if it were a double slot PCIe card that connects to a card inside the NUC.
The design of this Intel NUC is really very interesting and different. Provides support for dual PCI slot graphics cards. The images have been leaked and it is unknown when it will be presented in society. As is logical, the date of arrival on the market seems somewhat distant and it will not be a precisely economic system.
