Intel -vs- AMD: This is how the market was divided in the second quarter of 2019 [EXCLUSIVE]

We see processor market share in Q2019 3000, where Intel continues to dominate, possibly for the last quarter after the arrival of the AMD Ryzen XNUMX.

A while ago we brought you the Intel and AMD processor sales report in June 2019. Now it's time to see the end of the quarter. This will be the last quarter without the Ryzen 3000, so it is very interesting data. The next three months will be interesting and we will see if in Spain the dominance of Intel turns around.

The reports that we have seen from Germany and Japan indicate that AMD dominates Intel, but in Spain, that does not happen. Only in the month of January of this year more AMD processors were sold, after Intel has had a stable 55-60% share. And that the Ryzen 5 2600 is a processor that is sold brutally. The problem is that Intel has much more offer than AMD.

INTEL PROCESSORS SALE. Q2 2019

Interestingly, Core-F processors, without integrated graphics, are still the best sellers. These processors have been the way to reuse faulty iGPU processors at a time when more processors were being sold than they could produce. A situation, theoretically, that would have already been reversed.

The best seller is the Core i5-9400F with almost a 20% market share. It is followed by the Core i9-9900K with just over 17% market share. The third place is for the Core i7-9700K has almost a 13% market share.

Highlights also have the Core i5-9600K with almost a 9% market share, the Core i5-8400 has more than 6.5% market share and the Pentium G4560 has more than 5.5% market share. The rest of the processors have a really limited weight and are not of great relevance.

SALE OF AMD PROCESSORS. Q2 2019

There are no big news here. The best-selling processor is the Ryzen 5 2600, which has a market share of 56%. Just over 12% market share is the Ryzen 7 2700 and the Ryzen 3 2200G has just over 11.5% market share. Follow the Ryzen 5 2600X with just under 7% share. The Ryzen 7 2700X has a market share of just over 6%.

We have in a residual line, that the Ryzen 5 2400G has a market share of just over 2.5%. The Athlon 200GE has just over 2% market share. The rest of the processors have a residual share of less than 1%.

INTE-AMD MARKET SHARE. Q2 2019

This is the last quarter before AMD Ryzen 3000 processors are on the market. We can see how 42% of the processors sold this quarter are AMD. The rest of the processors, 58%, are Intel processors. Which contrasts with reports from other countries.

We will possibly see how the market situation changes starting this month. The arrival of the Ryzen 3000, in theory, should mean a change in the market trend. We will have to wait until the end of the month to know if there is a change in the trend.
