Intel launches new Xeon Workstation processors for workstations

Intel today announced the arrival of the new Intel Xeon W-3400 and Intel Xeon W-2400 processors for professional workstations. Under the code name is Sapphire rapids, this series is led by the Intel Xeon w9-3495X, which is presented as the most powerful Intel workstation processor ever designed to date.

These new processors are designed for professional creators, offering ideal performance for professionals in media and entertainment, engineering, and data science. With a new computing architecture, faster cores, and a new integrated multi-die interconnect bridge package, the Xeon W-3400 and Xeon W-2400 series processors allow great scalability Unprecedented to increase performance.

Intel renews the Xeon series of professional CPUs with new Sapphire rapids

The Xeon W-3400 and Xeon W-2400 processors provide a high-end computing foundation that today's professionals will leverage for the future of computing. Its support for DDR5 RDIMM memory, PCIe Gen 5.0, and Wi-Fi 6E provides the cutting-edge platform needed for today's and tomorrow's computing workloads. Its support for Intel vPro Enterprise technology, along with ECC memory, makes it workstation uptime is maximized to reduce workflow interruptions.

Available with up to 56 cores on a single socket, the high-end Intel Xeon w9-3495X processor features a redesigned memory controller and larger L3 cache. This offers up to 28% performance improvement in single threading, and up to 120% in multi-threading over the previous generation. Its operating frequencies of up to 4,8 gigahertz with Intel Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0 improve computing performance in everyday workloads.

Characteristics of the plataforma:

  • Up to 105 megabytes of L3 cache.
  • Eight channels of DDR5 RDIMM memory enabling up to 4 terabytes of memory capacity and increased memory bandwidth.
  • Support for ECC memory and RAS technologies to improve critical data integrity and system reliability.
  • Up to 112 PCIe Gen 5.0 CPU lanes on Xeon W-3400 processors and up to 64 PCIe Gen 5.0 CPU lanes on Xeon W-2400 processors.
  • Integrated Intel Wi-Fi 6E for the latest network connectivity.
  • Overclocking support for unlocked processors.
  • Third generation Intel Deep Learning Boost, delivering significantly more efficient deep learning acceleration for AI training and inference.
