KIOXIA Launches SSD Data Center NVMe E3.S at Hewlett Packard Enterprise Systems
KIOXIA Europe GmbH today announced that its CD3 series E7.S series of standard form factor NVMe Data Center SSDs for enterprises and data centers will first be included in Hewlett Packard Enterprise's range of server and storage solutions. These units are the first EDSFF in the sector designed with technology PCIe 5.0.
This protocol allows them to increase flash storage density per drive to optimize energy efficiency and in-rack consolidation. HPE ProLiant Gen11 servers, HPE Alletra 4000 servers, and the HPE Synergy 480 Gen11 compute module will have this PCIe 5.0
HP business servers will benefit from KIOXIA SSDs
As a natural evolution of the 2,5-inch form factor, the EDSFF E3.S drives are designed to meet high-performance flash storage needs. The E3.S support denser, more efficient deployments in the same rack unit. They also improve their thermal and cooling characteristics, and have a capacity of 1,5 to 2 times greater.
Available in capacities from 1.920 to 7.680 gigabytes, KIOXIA CD7 series SSDs support PCIe 5.0 and NVMe 2.0 specifications. They are also compliant with the EDSFF E3.S specification and feature 1 DWPD read-intensive resistance.
