The manufacturer KIOXIA Europe GmbH, specialized in mobile storage units; has released a recent statement announcing that its KIOXIA CM6 and KIOXIA CD6 series of solid state drives PCIe 4.0 NVMe, along with its KIOXIA PM6 series of 24G SAS solid-state drives, have achieved Software-Defined Data Center Certification for Windows Server 2022. Having this designation confirms that KIOXIA SSDs can be used in Windows Server 2022 SDDC solutions that use Storage Spaces Direct.
Certification testing was conducted independently by Microsoft to ensure the compatibility and performance of KIOXIA Solid State Drives. The company's 24G SAS and NVMe™ solid-state drives have been successfully tested with Software-Defined Data Center solutions (for Windows Server 2022.
Kioxia has SSD drives arranged for Windows Server 2022 standards
Microsoft Storage Spaces Direct is a feature specific to Windows Server. With it, a software-defined storage solution is created that combines multiple solid-state drives in clustered servers and can thus be share storage resources in converged and hyper-converged IT infrastructures. Thus, users can expand storage capacity by adding more drives or more servers in the cluster. Storage Spaces Direct automatically brings in the new drives and rebalances the storage pool.
