Intel's conference at CES 2020 leaves nothing relevant except a little information from the Tiger Lake
Intel's timing today is the same as AMD's between 2015 and 2017 (Ryzen's launch year). Intel is currently unable to advance the lithographic process, it is difficult for it to compete with AMD and it has nothing groundbreaking to show. We all saw Lisa Su, CEO of AMD last night show more artillery to increase its presence in the market.
The Intel conference was absurdly long, tedious, and completely devoid of anything interesting. Nothing to do with AMD, which featured two laptop processors, a graphics card y the Threadripper 3990X in just 45 minutes of conference. Intel in two hours only introduced us to the Tiger Lake processors which they shipped in 10 minutes.
No products found.
Intel is in a transformation period
A conference, on the other hand, that has something good and that is that if someone suffers from insomnia, they put on this conference and after 10 minutes they are already asleep. And the most relevant thing about it is that Intel hinted that it is in a transition period. The year 2020 will be a real torture for the company, unable to compete with AMD.
Remarkable we only have the Tiger Lake @ 10nm +, some processors that will replace the Ice Lake @ 10nm for laptops. Another interesting aspect has been to see a bit the performance of the Intel Gen12 iGPU based on Intel Xe.
Although Tiger Lake was presented in society, Intel did not give minimally relevant data, such as frequencies or number of cores. They did highlight that they offered performance for Artificial Intelligence, something that matters less than nothing for the laptop market. They indicate a big leap in performance over Ice Lake, but the words are blown away. Leaving thus the only relevant thing is that they support Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi 6 and Thunderbolt 4.

2020 for the company will be a nightmare
They have indicated that the Gen12 iGPU performs twice as much as the Intel Gen11 of the Ice Lake. Although the Destiny 2 demo was a disaster, showing hitches in the game with a graphical quality that was far from being the maximum. A presentation that makes it clear that the company has a significant problem.
We still have no information on Comet Lake @ 14nm for desktops. These processors would be based on the 10nm build but the 14nm manufacturing process would be. We also don't know anything about the Intel DG1, which they have only said could work with the processor's iGPU. Something similar to what was presented by AMD yesterday and that I call SmartShift.
Finally indicate that the Intel event started later for unknown reasons. The company had its conference scheduled for two hours after AMD's. Perhaps a change of plans in the face of the brutal announcements and presentations of its main competitor.
In summary, 2020 will be a year of pilgrimage through the desert for Intel
