Linus Tech shows an EKWB CPU block that would include a Peltier cell

The considered best manufacturer of components for liquid cooling EKWB is developing a new CPU block. This block may not have anything relevant in the first instance, except because it integrates a Peltier. Linus Tech Tips has shown in a video a new block for EKWB CPU which cannot give data, according to comments in the video.

It does not give details and a part of the CPU block is pixelated, but everything can be intuited from the data. The Intel Core i9-10900K when starting the PC shows a temperature of 0ºC in some of the cores. For this a Peltier cell would have been used that would be directly integrated in the CPU block, it seems.

EKWB solutions are usually the most innovative on the market using differential technologies. No liquid cooling can break the room temperature barrier if elements such as a Peltier are not added. So achieving temperatures of 0ºC with an RL is impossible if other elements are not used.

Even the 4K resolution temperature graph displays standby, ambient and load temperatures. We can see that the temperature at rest is lower than the ambient temperature, something that is not possible by thermodynamics except with active cooling elements. Since it mounts a normal RL, the only explanation is a Peltier or something similar to it.

The problem with Peltiers is that they are highly inefficient, since they consume a lot of energy for what they offer. From the EKWB CPU block comes a cable to power this Peltier cell, it is not clear if it is via SATA or another system. As a curious project it is fine, but to use it without interruption on a PC, it leaves many doubts. And the big problem is that it generates a lot of condensation.
