AMD Ryzen Raven Ridge with Vega graphics will receive drivers only every three months
Controversy with the drivers for AMD, who has said that every three months it will update the drivers of the AMD Ryzen Raven Ridge, the APUs that integrate Vega graphics.
AMD Ryzen processors are wonderful and a tough competitor to Intel. Although the Ryzen do not reach Intel solutions in gaming performance, their quality / price is excellent and it adapts to other audiences, in addition to the gamer market. Along with these processors, the Raven Ridge APUs have been launched, which combine Zen cores with RX Vega graphics. These APUs offer good performance and sell quite a bit, especially for entry-level gaming. They are highly valued, but they have a downside, which can harm you and that is that AMD has said that it will update drivers every three months.
AMD will update the drivers for the AMD Ryzen Raven Ridge every three months.
There are many criticisms of users towards AMD, for not offering drivers for more than four months, since the launch of these processors and now the decision to only update the drivers on a quarterly basis is added, so many users could be harmed . There is no doubt that they are better than an Intel processor with its own graphics and buying a dedicated graphics makes the system very expensive, but poor optimization will cause performance problems for users.
It is true that these APUs are more focused on eSports titles, such as LoL, Dota 2 or CS: GO, among others similar and are not focused on Triple A titles, which can be moved, with low resolutions and sacrificing textures. It is these games where users will see how their systems suffer from worse performance than a dedicated graphics, since the optimization is not the same of a dedicated GPU than an integrated GPU.
Some users might see this as unacceptable discrimination and would choose not to buy these solutions and pursue their lives in the best possible way. Clearly, this is a major error on the part of AMD, as it is still more important to update the drivers of the Raven Ridge than of the dedicated RX Vega or other solutions.
