Mike Rayfield decides to retire, creating another problem for AMD's Radeon division

Rayfield was the Senior Vice President and General Manager of the AMD Radeon Technologies Group division. He has decided to retire after more than thirty years of career, in which he has passed through Micron and NVIDIA, to end up retiring at AMD.
I arrive at the company at the end of January to manage the entire strategy and management of the graphics division, specifically consumer, professional and semi-personalized solutions. David Wang is the other part of this duo, who will be responsible for these tasks until they find a person who can replace Rayfield. Wang at AMD was the Senior Vice President of Engineering, who basically was in charge of the hardware and software development of the graphics part.
Wang has always been the visible face, submitting to questions from the press and showing his face at different events, which represents that he had the reins. What's more, there are rumors about Rayfield that tarnish his retirement, since it has been indicated that his contribution was poor and performance, null.
“Rayfield didn't do much and he was very superficial. Every week I deleted all the emails that I couldn't read and never worked on weekends or after 17:00 PM. Pontifically, he did not remember any names of his companions. Rayfield denied to Lisa Su that there was a problem with talent at the company and that recent talent leaked by AMD was not a problem. He also advanced recommendations that were not viable such as 'Radeon VII', a Vega 20 card for the consumer that would cost $ 750 and would barely compete with the NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti ”. AMD has denied the rumors completely, saying that it was his decision to leave the company as he wants to retire and spend more time with his family.
