MSI GTX 1660 Ti Ventus OC poses for the cameras and lets us see the TU116 silicon
Leaked images of the MSI GTX 1660 Ti Ventus OC graphics card, which has also been shown the TU116 silicon, smaller than the TU106 silicon.
NVIDIA GTX 22 Ti graphics cards are scheduled to be presented on February 1660. They are the first Turing graphics cards to hit the market without Tensor Core and RT Cores. This means that these charts will not be compatible with RayTracing and DLSS technology. Now a new leak lets us see the silicon of these graphics and the model developed by MSI based on this GPU. Specifically, the MSI GTX 1660 Ti Ventus XS based on TU116 silicon has been seen.

The most interesting thing about this leak is the image of the Turing TU116 silicon. We see an image comparing the silicon in the RTX 2060 and the silicon in the GTX 1660 Ti. As we can see, the silicon of the RTX 2060 graphics card is larger than the silicon of the GTX 1660 Ti. Logically the difference in size is given because the RTX 2060 model has Tensor Cores and RT Cores.
The PCB layout of this new MSI GTX 1660 Ti Ventus OC looks quite similar to the silicon of the RTX 2060, to the point that they look the same. It even seems that the size of the silicon board is the same size as that of the RTX 2060.
The cooling system of this graphic changes a lot, since it would have an aluminum heatsink instead of the heatsink with heatpipes and aluminum fins that we saw in the RTX 2060. It is expected that the NVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti on the other hand is also more restrained in terms of consumption, although the images show us an 8-pin PCIe connector. The containment of consumption would be thanks to the fact that it does not have Tensor Cores or RT Cores.
