MSI MPG Z490 Carbon EK X, a motherboard for custom liquid cooling and overclocking

We can find in the market a wide variety of motherboards according to our needs and budgets. We have from simple plates with adjusted prices to truly impressive solutions. The MSI MPG Z490 Carbon EK X would be one of the latter cases. We are talking about a motherboard for Intel 10th Gen processors manufactured by MSI that integrates a block of EK-Water Blocks for an RL Custom system.

These types of very high-end solutions between motherboard manufacturers and manufacturers of liquid cooling systems are becoming more and more common. Logically, they are not solutions for the common user, they are for advanced users with great purchasing power. Of course, for the Intel i9-10900K processor and its temperature problems it is the ideal motherboard.

Under the block for a custom liquid cooling system we have the LGA1200 socket created by Intel. This is the new socket for 10th Gen processors and this motherboard also features the Z490 chipset. Note that the RL block has been specially developed by EK-WB for this motherboard.

The motherboard is entirely black and has finishes that simulate carbon fiber on the chipset, VRM heatsink and RL block. Also, the block and chipset have an RGB LED lighting system. Both can be controlled by RGB Mystic Light that offers up to 29 different effects, customization to the user's taste and 16.8 million colors.
