Synology shows NAS DS1520 + from Plus range

Synology Inc. has introduced its new NAS storage unit, the DiskStation DS1520 +. This 5-bay NAS is designed to meet the storage and cloud work needs of small and medium businesses.

It is thought to be ideal for backing up important data such as organizing multimedia files. It is presented as a versatile and scalable option that allows you to create a private storage cloud easily and safely.

Synology NAS DS1520 + Capabilities

The DS1520 + NAS features a 2,0 GHz quad-core processor offering up to 2,7 GHz. This enables it to deliver a medium performance boost for compute-intensive operations. Responsiveness on websites is also improved over previous models.

It also has two integrated M.2 2280 NVMe SSD slots that allow you to improve the cache for input and output responsiveness. It's up to 20 times longer without the need for front drive bays. It also makes it easy to create backups to the cloud, as well as via RAID, using Active Backup for Business or Synology Hybrid RAID applications. With this you can leave the copies scheduled to be made periodically at times of low workload.

Being compatible with Synology apps, it offers solutions to facilitate collaborative remote work, which is now in high demand. Synology Moments allows you to save, manage, and organize audiovisual files and access them from your smartphone anytime. Synology Drive, meanwhile, allows you to access documents and data remotely from any device and operating system. And Synology Office facilitates collaboration among employees, who can edit a file simultaneously while communicating via Synology Chat or Synology Mail.

The DS1520 + runs through DiskStation Manager. It is an operating system for Synology NAS devices that allows you to improve productivity at work through the applications we have mentioned.
