About a month ago, rumors surfaced that AMD's Zen 3 processors might be delayed until 2020. The company denied these reports at the time. This week, the rumor resurfaced, gaining traction after the announcement of the Ryzen 3000XT. Well, AMD has had to issue another statement clarifying that they will not be delaying the Ryzen 4000 series.
Although AMD has not given a date, it has indicated in several slides that the Ryzen 4000 will arrive this year. These new processors are based on TSMC's Zen3 architecture and enhanced 7nm lithography. Except for this, there is not much more data regarding these new processors, with the exception of a significant increase in the CPI.

This week, AMD announced the Matisse Refresh processors . The new Ryzen 3000XT processors have a slightly higher boost clock speed. Their release has revived rumors about a delay for the Ryzen 4000 series until early 2021. There's even been talk that they could be unveiled at CES 2021.
An AMD spokesperson told TechPowerUp that "the Zen3 lag rumor is inaccurate." The route hour would not have undergone modifications and Vermeer will be launched on the market this year. Something that the lithography used has not yet finished being clear, since it is not clear if it will be 7nm + or N7P.
But the truly important point seems to have been largely overlooked in this rumor. The B550 chipset announced alongside the Ryzen 3000XT will not support Ryzen 1000, Ryzen 2000, Ryzen 2000 APUs, or Ryzen 3000 APUs. Ultimately, this chipset will only support Ryzen 3000 and Ryzen 4000 series processors (and possibly Ryzen 4000 APUs). This significantly reduces AMD's promise of backward compatibility with each chipset generation.
