It is announced by Noctua that the first completely black heatsinks will arrive in the fourth quarter of this year.
Noctua may well be the best CPU cooler and fan manufacturer on the market. For years, the company sold its fans in those ugly, outdated brown colors. The design isn't the most attractive, but the quality is the best on the market. Recently, the company began offering the Chromax line , featuring black fans with different colored edges and trim.
The company wants to expand its range and for this it has announced the upcoming availability of a completely black cooler. From what little you can see in the video it seems the NH-D15, the largest heatsink that the company sells. Although there is a risk in this transformation and that is that they end up giving in to the happy fashion of RGB LEDs.
Noctua updates its products and will launch completely black heatsinks
It seems that the new line of Chromax heatsinks is now "ready for production". This new listing will feature black versions of the Noctua NH-D15, NH-U12S and NH-L9i. They are the three best-selling heatsinks by the company and they are developed for different types of systems. Along with these they will carry the black fans NF-A20, NF-A9, NF-A9x14 and NF-A8. These are scheduled to be launched in the last quarter of the year.
In addition, the Noctua NF-A12x25 and NF-A12x15 versions in black will hit the market during the first half of 2020. Along with these will come the NF-A15, NF-A14 and NF-F12 in white. These three fans are also scheduled for the first half of 2020.
A purely cosmetic update that shouldn't affect performance at all. The company has great prestige in the industrial segment for the quality of the fans. They are highly resistant to dust and offer features that few can achieve. The update is interesting, but let's hope Noctua doesn't succumb to RGB LEDs
