QNAP Announces Two New TL SAS Storage Systems

These new TL SAS JBOD systems They support SAS transmission at 12Gbps, offering a transfer speed of up to 96Gbps. In addition, these feature Broadcom SAS DataBolt bandwidth optimization technology and multipath routing solution. They support daisy chaining of multiple JBOD systems to expand capacity or divide a JBOD system into different areas. It allows this to create a mass storage system with high performance, capacity and storage.

The new TL SAS JBOD systems feature a quad-core SAS35x28R / SAS35x36R SAS expander. wide ports SAS that combine four 12Gbps SAS lanes. The configuration of two wide ports SAS with Link Aggregator allows to reach speeds of up to 96Gbps.

Using Broadcom SAS DataBolt bandwidth optimization technology, we have intelligent data buffering that keeps up with the performance of the host server. This enables high-speed SAS transmission at 12Gbps with existing 6Gbps infrastructure.

If a host Windows server exists for a multipath system, high availability can be achieved. In the event of a failure, another transmission path can be used to access the data and ensure that the system works.

These new TL SAS JBODs are intended for universal deployment. They support cascading up to 16 enclosures via high-speed mini SAS HD cables for tasks that require large storage capacities.

Specifications of the new systems

  • TL-R1220Sep-RP: 2U, 12 drive bays, SAS Expander SAS35x28R, redundant 300W PSU
  • TL-R1620Sep-RP: 3U, 16 drive bays, SAS Expander SAS35x36R, redundant 550W PSU
