NVIDIA Ampere could be presented in March
CES 2020 has been quite active and things will still appear despite the end of the event. The one who has made the least noise these days has been NVIDIA, who saves his aces for the month of March. There are rumors that it will be at the GPU Technology Conference (GTC) where Jen-Hsun Huang will present the Ampere architecture graphics. An increase in performance and a reduction in consumption are expected thanks to TSMC's 7nm lithography.
Curiously, this information appears shortly after a benchmark of an AMD graphics is leaked. Lisa Su talked about a graphics card called Big Navi and shortly after the OpenVR benchmark was leaked. This supposed NVIDIA Killer, would beat the RTX 2080 Ti, but possibly cannot handle the amps.

NVIDIA to introduce Ampere possibly in March
The information that has appeared so far about Ampere is minimal. There is talk that this new architecture will offer a performance increase 50% higher than the current Turing. It is also said that energy efficiency will double, which would imply a reduction in consumption by half.
If we believe this information, a future high-end Ampere will have the same consumption as an RTX 2060. The RTX 2060 has a consumption TDP of between 125-150W and being superior in performance to the RTX 2080 Ti. Especially that will benefit developers of gaming laptops.
All these information suggest that the goal would be for the Ampere's mid-range to support 4K @ 60FPS with Ray Tracing. The new architecture will allow 4K @ 144Hz to be reached for gaming monitors.
We can spend hours debating about it, but until they are officially presented, we will not know much more about it. We prefer to be cautious, because the final yield is still far from this 50%.
