NVIDIA Announces Six New Ray Tracing Games

Ray Tracing technology promoted and powered by NVIDIA and its Turing architecture is here to stay. Its impact has been such that it has forced AMD to change plans and integrate it into its next generation of GPUs. We know this thanks to Microsoft and Sony, who have demanded that AMD have Ray Tracing. Well, NVIDIA has announced six new games that will carry Ray Tracing.

Through this adhesion, there are more than thirty who support some elements of this technology. You can find them all detailed in our list (pending update). And is that especially 2020 will be the year of Ray Tracing technology, since many titles and consoles from Sony and Microsoft are expected

Six new games with Ray Tracing

Note that most of the games implement reflections and shadows, with the minority implementing ambient occlusion and global lighting. It is said that the first to implement all Ray Tracing capabilities will be Cyberpunk 2077. Regarding the new games announced, it is not entirely clear which elements they will implement.

The announcement has been during the GTC China 2019 in which the study created by NVIDIA for games with Ray Tracing has collaborated. An announcement that is not accidental, since China is currently the largest consumer of video games and technology for them. Let's go without further ado to see the games

Ring of Elysium

We start with a free Battle Royale created by Arena Studio and published by Tencent that is in Season 6. It will implement Ray Tracing by update, although we do not know what elements it will implement and how it will impact performance. We also don't know the hardware required to play it with light ray tracing.

Boundary

We move on to a Shooter set in space that has been created by the Chinese studio Surgical Scalpels. It will hit the market during the first quarter of 2020 for PC and PlayStation 4 (without Ray Tracing, obviously)

Bright Memory Infinite

A very interesting game, also Shooter, which has been developed by a single person. That Ray Tracing is added is one more incentive to enjoy it.

Other titles

In addition, Project X, Convallaria, FIST, Xuan-Yuan Sword VII and Minecraft RTX have been announced. The latter, by the way, we have already known him for quite some time.
