And it was NVIDIA that just unveiled DRIVE AGX Orin , an advanced solution for autonomous vehicles and robotics.
This Orin solution is the most advanced on the market and has 17.000 million transistors. In addition, the company has said that developing this chip has taken four years and a strong investment in R&D. Note that this Orin SoC is based on the Turing architecture and integrates high-performance ARM Hercules cores.

A solution that combines ARM Hercules cores with proprietary Turing architecture solutions. It has been developed to offer a powerful solution for Deep Learning and computer vision. Furthermore, this solution offers 200 trillion operations per second, nearly 7 times more power than the Xavier SoC.
Orin has been created to be able to manage a large number of applications and management of deep neural networks. The goal is for them to work simultaneously on autonomous vehicles and robots. It has also achieved ISO 26262 ASIL-D, which covers systematic safety standards.
The DRIVE AGX Orin platform is backed by software to offer unique capabilities. It allows at an architectural level to develop Level 2 vehicles up to Level 5 vehicles (fully autonomous). This enables OEM system developers to create large scale and complex families of software products.
Both Orin and Xavier can be programmed using the CUDA and TensorRT open libraries and APIs. This allows developers to get the most out of the investments of multiple product generations.
