NVIDIA closes the GeForce Program Partner due to controversy and misinformation about this program

Given the controversy generated, NVIDIA has decided to shelve the GeForce Program Partner, which raises doubts about what will happen to the brands that have already worked on changes.

It seems that user pressure, for once, has worked. Just yesterday NVIDIA, by surprise, announced on their official blog that they were closing the GeForce Partner Program, a customer acquisition system among partners that work with the company, which offered advantages, such as receiving the GPU before other manufacturers, launching personalized models before a part of the competitors, participate in events and exclusive raffles, special bundles with games and other advantages. ASUS agreed to reserve Republic of Gamers for NVIDIA, Gigabyte did the same with Aorus and MSI did the same with the Gaming X models.

The three companies, annoyed with AMD's deal in recent months, accepted the program and ASUS even introduced the AREZ, a new name for AMD's Radeon RX graphics cards, which would have cooling solutions a notch below the standard. RoG solutions. Right now it is unknown what will happen to ASUS AREZ.

NVIDIA has highlighted that a completely absurd ball of the program has been made and that the information has been falsified, generating a lot of misinformation and in the face of this controversy, they have decided to shelve this idea. They highlight that 'NVIDIA creates cutting-edge technologies for gamers' and that they had only one goal in mind, 'to ensure that gamers know what they are buying and that they can make a clear choice'

Much has been said recently about our GeForce Partner Program. Rumors, conjectures, and falsehoods are beyond your intention. Instead of fighting misinformation, we have decided to cancel the show.

GeForce Partner Program (GPP) had a simple goal: to ensure that gamers know what they are buying and that they can make a clear choice.

NVIDIA creates cutting-edge technologies for gamers. We have dedicated our lives to that. We do our jobs at a crazy and intense level, investing billions to invent the future and make sure incredible technology from NVIDIA keeps coming. We do this work because we know that players love and appreciate it. Gamers want the best GPU technology. GPP focused on making sure that gamers who want NVIDIA technology get NVIDIA technology.

With GPP, we asked our partners to brand their products in a way that was crystal clear. The choice of GPU largely defines a gaming rig. Therefore, the GPU branding must be clearly transparent - there are no surrogate GPUs hidden behind a pile of tech jargon.

Most of the partners agreed. They own their brands and GPP didn't change that. They decide how they want to convey their product promise to the players. Even so, today we are taking GPP offline to avoid any distractions from the super exciting work we are doing to bring incredible advancements to PC gaming.

This is a great time to be a GeForce partner and be part of the fastest growing gaming platform in the world. The GeForce gaming platform is rich with the latest technology. And with GeForce Experience, it's "the way it should be played"

  1. The GPP was already weak, especially when Intel, HP and Dell opposed this program and threatened NVIDIA with legal action ...

  2. They are companies, the only thing that interests them is their own profit, obviously they sell it as if the people were benefited, but behind it they are the ones who benefit and the best way to benefit is by eliminating the competition by creating a monopoly and setting prices and conditions that they want, I speak of all companies in general NVIDIA, AMD, INTEL.
If AMD could do it, it would too
