NVIDIA will support RayTracing on Pascal (GTX 10 Series) and Turing graphics without RT Cores
It was just revealed that NVIDIA will offer driver support for RayTracing on Pascal graphics and Turing graphics without RT Cores.
It seems that the AMD Radeon Rays solution has a clear and direct answer from NVIDIA. The company recently launched the Turing architecture that brings the GeForce RTX to life. These silicones are characterized by having the RT Cores specially developed to drive RayTracing technology. Well, it has just been announced that NVIDIA will launch a driver in April that will allow the GeForce GTX 1660 and GTX 1660 Ti to support RayTracing. Not only will it reach these graphics, but also the Pascal GPUs that make up the GTX 10 Series family, adding support for DXR and RayTracing.

This new driver will allow Pascals to run RayTracing in a 'basic' way. As reported, the GTX 1060 6GB, the GTX 1070, the GTX 1070 Ti, the GTX 1080, the GTX 1080 Ti, the Titan X and the Titan Xp will receive this support, in addition to any of these graphics in their version. for notebooks or Max-Q.
During a call to the US media, the extension of RayTracing to Pascal was reported. Battlefield V for example, which already implements this technology, would allow reflections on some surfaces.
