NVIDIA would be preparing an RTX 3070 Ti GPU for laptops

NVIDIA is currently working on two new mobile GPUs for laptops. One such GPU is the recently rumored NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti; and now it seems that a new silicon GA104 has recently been leaked into the PCI device ID database.

The VideoCardz website discovered a comment from user Faintsnow in the PCI Device ID database about a specific ID that appeared. It's ID 24A0, which refers to an NVIDIA mobile GPU, the NVIDIA GN20-E6. GN20-E6 is believed to be the nickname for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti GPU for notebooks, a model not officially listed in the Ampere family of architectures.

The Power of the RTX 3070 Ti in Laptops

If this information turns out to be true, it would mean that NVIDIA is beginning to launch the manufacture of RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti GPUs for mobile devices, such as laptops and notebooks, which will offer a greater number of cores compared to non-Ti models. .

The NVIDFIA RTX 3080 Ti is speculated to use a newer graphics processor: the GA103, which has up to 7680 CUDA cores. The mobile version of that particular graphics card is likely to produce fewer CUDA cores than the desktop versions. But in the case of the NVIDIA RTX 3070 Ti for notebooks, possibly its number of CUDA cores would be higher, which has up to 5120 CUDA cores.

This new information comes after launch plans for Intel Arc Alchemist graphics cards are announced, which will hit the market in the first quarter of next year and for which a wide variety of offerings are expected, including specific models for cloud game servers.
