NVIDIA to send RTX 30 Series to EOL for cryptocurrency mining
NVIDIA is considering withdrawing the RTX 30 Series from the market to re-launch with the BIOS that prevents the mining of cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum
This week NVIDIA has made quite a few headlines with its latest graphics card moves. The company advertised NVIDIA CMPs for cryptocurrency mining and that it was capable of NVIDIA RTX 3060s for mining. Well, today a rumor is released indicating that NVIDIA could stop producing the RTX 30 Series.

NVIDIA's RTX 3060 implements three countermeasures to prevent its use in Ethereum mining, primarily. These include elements in the BIOS, drivers, and GPU that detect when the graphics card is mining. When this occurs, the card's performance drops significantly, by up to 50%.
Since the measure implemented in the RTX 3060 appears to be working well, it would be implemented across all graphics cards. For this reason, NVIDIA is reportedly considering discontinuing the current RTX 30 Series. These would be replaced by what could be called a "version 2.0" of these RTX 30 Series graphics cards with the new BIOS. Thus, the RTX 3090, RTX 3080, RTX 3070, and RTX 3060 Ti would incorporate measures against cryptocurrency mining.
This decision would be given to prevent GeForce graphics from being sold for mining. At the same time that they introduce the NVIDIA CMP (Crypto Mining Processors) of which we do not have much data.
