NVIDIA RTX 3060 announced with 12GB GDDR6 @ 17GHz

NVIDIA officially announces the RTX 3060 featuring 3584 CUDA Cores and accompanied by 12GB GDDR6 @ 17GHz

Following NVIDIA's conference, the highlight is the announcement of the RTX 3060 graphics card. This new graphics card will be the "simplest" one launched by the company. Despite having fewer CUDA Cores, Tensor Cores and RT Cores than the RTX 3060 Ti, it has more VRAM. A fact that surely will not go unnoticed by anyone and that shows that the graphics cards presented to date are very short of VRAM.

Although all Ampere architecture graphics offer a big leap over Turing graphics, this seems not to be the case. NVIDIA indicates that the RTX 3060, while it is above the RTX 2060, is not excessively above it. Of course, the RTX 3060 with its 12GB of VRAM will offer more than 60FPS stable with RayTracing and active DLSS.

NVIDIA Introduces RTX 3060 Graphics Card

The new RTX 3060 comes with the silicon GA106-300, which is below the silicon of the RTX 3060 Ti. This graphics card offers us 3584 CUDA Cores (4864 CUDA Cores from the RTX 3060 Ti). It will have 28 RT Cores and 112 Tensor Cores.

Without a doubt the most interesting data of the RTX 3060 is the amount of VRAM that it will carry. NVIDIA endows it with 12GB GDDR6 with a frequency of 17GHz. The RTX 3060 Ti, released just over a month ago, has 8GB GDDR6 @ 14GHz. Mind you, the RTX 3060's memory bus is 192-bit, while the RTX 3060 Ti's is 256-bit.

NVIDIA highlights that the RTX 3060 will offer us 13TFLOPS in Single Precison and 35TFLOPS with RayTracing. In addition, it is indicated that it will offer 101 Tensor-FLOPS in AI tasks.

It will be available in February and will have a suggested price of $ 329
