NVIDIA RTX 3080 would be 35% more powerful than RTX 2080 Ti
The rumors surrounding the next generation of NVIDIA Ampere graphics cards do not stop. These graphics could be announced this August to launch in September. New information about these new graphics has been leaked, indicating that an NVIDIA RX 3080 would be 35% more powerful than the RTX 2080 Ti under the 3DMark benchmark software.
It was recently reported that an RTX 3090 would be 50% more powerful than the RTX 2080 Ti, so this information makes a lot of sense. Note that it is not clear if the top of the range will be called RTX 3090 or RTX 3080 Ti. It is suggested that NVIDIA would stop using the Ti nomenclature and in the future it would opt more for the term 'Super'

NVIDIA RTX 3080 would be 35% more powerful than RTX 2080 Ti
The one who has revealed this is Twitter user 'kopite7kimi', who has previously leaked more things from NVIDIA GPUs. While it has not shown screenshots, it does indicate that the RTX 3080 with a GA102-200-KD-A1 GPU offers about 8600 points in Time Spy Extreme. As always, we must be cautious, because until they are officially released all these are unconfirmed rumors.
Currently the RTX 2080 Ti are around 6.300 points in the Time Spy Extreme, which lets us see the great leap of Ampere with respect to Turing. Initially there was talk of a 20% improvement, so NVIDIA would have improved this new architecture. These data, if confirmed, could be really difficult for the hypothetical AMD Big Navi.
Taking the RTX 2080 Ti as a reference, the RTX 3080 would be 35% more powerful and the RTX 3090 would be 50%. With these data, it would not be ruled out an RTX 3070 that performs the same as the RTX 2080 Ti and an RTX 3060 that performs more or less like an RTX 2080. This 'confirms' the disappearance of the GTX models and the arrival of new models , all already with Ray Tracing and DLSS.
